W00t! Another creature concept for Affex, DONE! Waltods are a line of herbivorous, deer/antelope-like tetralobates, common prey for large Frann (who's full body picture will need to be redone due to a few complications).
All in all, I'm quite pleased with the way this came out.
So, what I've come to as far as the use of the term "polylobate" is that it is the equivalent of 'tetrapod' in our terms. All of the vertebrate rametosaurs I've shown are polylobates (which makes the archetypal one I drew at the beginning a virtual HAM* among main-stem terrestrial rametosaurs** (a 'HAR' if you will).
**'Pitbull Squids' are a terrestrial rametosaur that is NOT a member of the main stem, and represents a separate colonization attempt of the land by aquatic rametosaurs. They are now mostly restricted to tropical and arboreal niches. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's 1:17am, I'm exhausted, I have class tomorrow, and the pollen in the air makes me what to take a dremel to my face. Blegh! If I think of anything else I'll type it up here, but for now, good night!
No, I don't use any filters. I just adjust the levels in the image.
I try my best.
But in all seriousness, this is a great design. I love the trunk.
