Here's a fanart picture I did of one of my most favorite games of all time: Jade Cocoon. [link]
Kikinak (the one with the nut-cracker) is also the character who I chose for my ID pic.
He's flirtacious and full of himself, but not at all malicious. Just mischievous.
The spiky guy to the left is one of the Yamu people who are described as "fuzzy acorns" in a strategy guide of mine.
The game is for the Playstation, though there is a sequal for the PS2 that I'd like to get my hands on!

I don't know if you've played Jade Cocoon 2 in the 8 months since you've originally posted this, but if you haven't, get it! It is one of the best mother-fucking monster raiser games I've experienced, and even as an RPG in general, its gameplay is extremely unique.
I'm sorry to say that the high customization of monsters from the first one is gone, but personally, I'm not into that very much (so my thoughts on the sequel over the original may seem biased). Aside from the fact that you have to be very careful to keep your monster combinations from looking like a horribly mishapen blob, I gotta say that I prefer just keeping things simple with established characters (and their models).
